Children Dignity and Equality Foundation (CDEF) is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our team. The Procurement Officer will oversee the procurement of goods and services, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost-effective sourcing. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and a passion for supporting CDEF’s mission to promote children’s dignity and equality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies in line with organizational goals.
  • Manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure high-quality and cost-efficient sourcing.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, contracts, and necessary documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and external regulations.
  • Track inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed.
  • Monitor market trends to recommend improvements and cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices.
